It’s not often we come across boats like this 1976 William DeGire Trawler. This Trawler is an extraordinary product from a traditionally skilled boatwright. She has just been surveyed and in the survey the surveyor notes, “The vessel has been totally restored to better than new condition while adhering to the original lines and look while applying new mechanical and electrical upgrades and improvements. Current owner has taken meticulous efforts to upgrade and maintain this vessel to classic show quality. True pride of ownership is seen throughout, a beautiful piece of history and craftsmanship.” We can honestly say that she shows like new and has been nicely upgraded to today’s standards. She is a must see for anyone looking for a traditional classic trawler.
She is a wooden boat with frame and plank style using red cedar below the waterline with yellow cedar above. Oak framing and old growth fir stringers. Engine bedding with bronze fastenings and stainless rudder and bronze prop with 2” Monel stainless shafting. 2” thick red cedar planking on the bottom with 2” thick yellow cedar planking on sides.
